As the demand for technology-enabled healthcare data and services grows, Transputec are delivering agile IT services for an evolving sector.
According to McKinsey, there has been an increase in technology companies entering the digital healthcare market to tackle issues in the delivery and management of healthcare. This trend has been accelerated further by COVID-19. At Transputec, we have been supporting our healthcare data clients to deliver medical data for several years. As the demand for technology-enabled healthcare data and services continues to grow, we are well placed to deliver agile IT services in this ever-evolving sector.
IT Infrastructure unlocks innovation
Getting an organisation’s IT infrastructure right is critical as fundamentally it allows businesses and organisations to deliver all their IT solutions and services to their employees and customers. It’s like getting the foundations of a house in order before you start the build.
As a trusted partner to Pharmaspectra, who work with the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies to deliver medical data and analytics tools, we provide leading IT solutions and service management. Their databases and platforms facilitate their clients to unlock the power of data and measurement to optimise medical strategies, so a high-performance, agile IT service and strategy is imperative.
To deliver for this for Pharmaspectra, Transputec support, manage and implement IT services and systems, leveraging scalable and robust public cloud infrastructures via Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. This provides an agile infrastructure for their data platforms and software development, creating a flexible and secure environment for their developers – and ultimately their customers. Transputec is an AWS Select Services Partner and MS Gold Partner, our teams are experts in utilising AWS and Azure services to build responsive solutions and services to deliver database storage, database delivery, and software development. To complement this, we have demonstrable experience in the provision of DevOp’s services to ensure agile delivery between development and delivery.
The importance of end user support
To support the day-to-day business operation, we also provide 24/7 end user and service desk support to Pharmaspectra employees globally. This was needed more than ever during the pandemic when many of their employees were working from home and needed more individualised IT support and increased security protection. Coupled with the increase in BYOD (bring your own device), there was an additional requirement for a mobile device management programme and we are currently integrating Microsoft Intune, a cloud-based service, to manage and control data, security, and policies across all their employees’ mobile devices.
Managing and monitoring security threats
Security is paramount for any business but especially within the health data sector. To meet Pharmaspectra’s high security requirements, we rolled out Microsoft Defender, an anti-malware component of Microsoft Windows for maximum endpoint security protection across laptops, tablets, and mobiles. In addition, we installed another layer of security via Threatspike. Threatspike delivers a security and SIEM solution allowing our security operation centre (SOC) to monitor the security status of endpoints and unauthorised activity in real time. These security solutions not only protect employees but also sensitive business data whilst enabling GDPR and data protection compliancy.
The above solutions are part of our SOC (security operation centre) service and are monitored and acted upon 24x7x365. We believe by layering security solutions; we provide a stacked service with all areas monitored – and if one layer fails, the other will pick up any concerns straight away.
Supporting fast paced sectors
As a leading IT provider, it’s our role to always be ahead on the game in terms of technology so we can support fast paced sectors. All our IT solutions and services are designed for evolving technology requirements and our recommended digital strategy will always aim to enable agile and scalable business development. As a dynamic, entrepreneurial organisation ourselves, we are a trusted partner, working collaboratively with our clients to support their developing digital strategy. Technology enabled healthcare continues to accelerate and it will ultimately improve healthcare services for us all – and we’re proud to be a part of expediating this vision.
