Research commissioned by Transputec from the well respected Business Continuity Institute into the causes of, and responses to, the growing threat of cyber attack has found that the growing trend of social engineering attacks is the single top cause of cyber incidents. The research is based on a survey of 369 business continuity professionals from right across the globe and it confirms what many people have already suspected about the changing nature of the cyber threat and the way that cyber criminals are finding their way past corporate perimeter security.

The founder of a pioneering London-based IT company that has grown from start-up to a global 150 strong business, with offices in India, Dubai and Manila, has just won the prestigious Asian Professional of the Year Award 2015 for IT and Technology. Rickie Sehgal, Chairman of Transputec, received the award at a glittering ceremony held at the 5-star Grange City Hotel near Tower Bridge.

Transputec Ltd, the UK based high-end cloud computing and database specialist, has started the New Year by signing a joint sales channel agreement with MarkLogic Corporation, the leading Enterprise NoSQL database platform company.

Mark Logic-logo The deal will enable Transputec to market and deliver MarkLogic® Enterprise NoSQL database and professional services to customers in the UK. The two companies will collaborate to offer MarkLogic’s Enterprise NoSQL database platform, enabling businesses to store and access structured and unstructured data - information such as contracts, forms, videos and other rich media that are unsuited to traditional relational databases.
