The Challenge

Our 35 stores required new servers. We reached out to Transputec to build and upgrade the new servers and support with the migration & installation of these within our stores.

What Transputec Did

Transputec provided us with a plan and roadmap to implement the roll out of 35 new servers to our stores. Any older servers were tested for functionality and rebuilt and upgraded to Windows 2016 to run more efficiently. The engineers worked remotely and with an on-site third-party engineer to migrate data from existing databases to the upgraded ones.

Most communication took place over email, with conference calls only when needed. The process was fairly smooth, and updates were prompt.

We were assigned 3 engineers and a Project Manager for in the project.

The Outcome

The project was handled and completed effectively. The stores are now equipped with reliable servers that have better storage capacity and scalability. By upgrading the existing servers, we benefited from cost savings and minimised our e-waste on this project.

Relationship with Transputec

We have worked and relied on Transputec through many projects and have been very satisfied with the outcomes. We hope to see this relationship continue to flourish in the years ahead. We consider Transputec as a reliable and a trusted partner to Hobbycraft.
