HITEC's first European conference scores a big hit with Transputec

It’s already Wednesday but Transputec and ThreatSpike Labs are still thinking back to a rewarding couple of days at last week’s HITEC (hospitality and technology) conference in Amsterdam.

It was the first ever HITEC event in Europe and also the first time that Transputec and ThreatSpike Labs have exhibited at any HITEC conference. I think I can safely say that both these firsts were a resounding success!

HITEC is the world’s largest hospitality and technology conference and is attended by key influencers across both sectors. So we were delighted with the industry’s response to our product – the award-winning winning detection and monitoring tool, ThreatSpike. We had a strong and steady stream of visitors to our stand on Thursday and Friday and held regular demos to show how ThreatSpike effectively safeguards hotels’ internal network vulnerabilities.

Transputec is already a well-known managed services provider in the hospitality space and we’re now expanding our offer with cybersecurity solutions and services through ThreatSpike. In fact, we attended HITEC on the back of winning long-term contracts to three of the most prestigious hotel groups in the world and have strong plans for growth for our Cybersecurity as a Service offering over the coming months.

HITEC also offered Transputec the chance to explore new opportunities with potential partners and meet clients old and new, hotel tech peers and key influencers. There is no other event that brings together the hotel and tech sectors on this scale and in this day of ever more sophisticated security threats, collaboration is key. To the HITEC organisers, thanks for an excellent conference and to all those we met, I look forward to being in touch again in the near future.

For those of you unable to attend HITEC, here’s a brief synopsis:

At the core of ThreatSpike’s service is a sophisticated monitoring tool that plugs into your core network and starts analysing traffic in real time, using big data and algorithms to identify suspicious or unusual behaviour.

In addition, ThreatSpike and our Cybersecurity as a Service will ensure that you are PCI compliant without needing to implement complex processes or costly overheads. ThreatSpike, along with Transputec’s disruption incident management tool Crises Control, jointly won the category of Cyber Security Partnership of the Year in the prestigious CIR Risk Management Awards 2017.
