Progress Towards Parity - How Will You Support #EachforEqual?

“Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.”

This year’s campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2020 is #EachforEqual which encourages us to actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements.

Equality is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue. One the campaign’s key areas is to forge inclusive workplaces so women can thrive. At Transputec, we pride ourselves on our diverse teams and are committed to increasing the number of women represented across the business. We’re also supporting the next generation of talent through our apprentice program and mentoring schemes where we are actively encouraging more women to participate.

Outreach Programs

Recently Transputec was honoured at the CRN Women in Channel Awards for the Best Community Outreach Award for its digital literacy programme and dedicated IT training facility in west Bengal. The award recognised IT vendors that are attracting more young women into technology through their outreach programmes. Transputec made the final shortlist along with industry heavyweights, Cisco, Microsoft and Computacenter, who are also delivering transformational programmes to help pave the way for more women in IT.

Our Pledge

#EachForEqual, draws attention to the difference individuals can make. As we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions, we can actively choose to challenge bias and celebrate women’s achievements. That’s why we set up our own pledge wall for our employees to contribute and show their support.

Transputec Pledges

  1. You can’t be what you can’t see, we pledge to continue to be a diverse and inclusive employer.
  2. An equal world is an enabled world, we pledge to create a workplace culture that support employees to be the best versions of themselves.
  3. We each hold the power and influence to foster a gender balanced world, we pledge to continue to recognise the wonderful achievements of all our employees. wherever they maybe in the world
  4. Giving something back is important for us an employer and that is why we are committed to continuing to deliver transformational programmes to help pave the way for more women and girls in IT.

#EachforEqual is all about collective Individualism, the fact that together we can help great a more gender equal world. The good news is that the campaign extends far beyond 8 March, with activities running all year long, so I encourage you all to move the dial and make change happen in your workplace and beyond.

Let’s be #EachforEqual – all day, every day
