We’re on a mission to make crisis management simple, intuitive, and accessible to all and we’re looking for a talented Product Designer (UX/UI) to help us craft a seamless, beautiful user experience across our web and mobile platforms.
Role Overview
As the Product Designer at Crises Control, you’ll own the end-to-end UX and UI design for our platform including our web portal, mobile apps (Flutter), and admin tools. You’ll work closely with the CEO, product team, and developers to ensure that Crises Control not only works perfectly but feels effortless to use.
This is a remote position based in South Africa, with flexible working hours and close collaboration with our UK team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct UX audits of our existing products to identify usability pain points and opportunities.
- Translate complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and polished UI designs using Figma or similar tools.
- Build and maintain a design system to ensure consistency across all products.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure design integrity during implementation.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions.
- Work with the product team to align UX priorities with roadmap objectives.
- Help define the visual identity of Crises Control, making it modern, consistent, and engaging.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, ideally in SaaS or enterprise applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile design projects.
- Expertise with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) and responsive design principles.
- Experience with Flutter UI guidelines (nice to have).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset able to interpret user feedback and data to inform design decisions.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on B2B communication, alerting, or incident management tools.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
- Experience conducting A/B testing or working with Hotjar, Mixpanel, or similar tools.
- Interest in AI-driven UI experiences and automation design.
