Hello, I’m Khizer Rafiq, and I had the opportunity to complete an internship at Transputec.

I chose Transputec because it is an established company with a track record spanning multiple decades in the industry. What stood out to me was the range of work across software development and cybersecurity, as well as the company’s strong focus on quality and security. Transputec’s certifications, including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus, it also demonstrated its commitment to maintaining high information security standards.

Throughout my internship, I felt supported and valued. Everyone was approachable and willing to help whenever I needed guidance. I was trusted with real responsibilities and regularly received feedback, which helped me develop my skills and improve my work.

As a software tester, I worked closely with software developers, technical support analysts and other interns. My role involved providing feedback on software performance and user experience. I also had the opportunity to work with the sales team on a marketing presentation for the product I was testing, which gave me valuable insight into different areas of the business.

One thing that pleasantly surprised me was the level of responsibility I was given and how well-structured the internship experience was. I was consistently involved in real projects for real clients, which made the experience practical and valuable.

My advice to future interns would be to be proactive and not be afraid to ask questions. The more you get involved, the more opportunities you have to receive feedback, learn new skills and improve.
