Transputec awarded Government’s Technology Services 2 supplier status

I’m proud to announce that Transputec has been awarded supplier status for the government’s new multibillion Technology Services 2 (TS2) Framework by the UK’s Crown Commercial Service (CCS).

We have decades of expertise leveraging a broad range of technologies and services that help public sector organisations operate more efficiently, so this underlines our commitment to them. From now on, public sector organisations will be able to commission a range of our bespoke technology services through this framework.

Our end-to-end approach includes a complete suite of hybrid IT solutions across infrastructure, applications and managed services. This includes:

  • infrastructure, networks and security management
  • cybersecurity monitoring, testing and training
  • end user support through help desk services
  • extensive network of hardware & software vendors
  • design, build, hosting, maintenance and support
  • development for all mobile platforms, servers and web

Our supplier status will help us build on our robust growth within the public sector. Lots of effort went into the bidding process to demonstrate our capabilities across all Lots, and I’m proud to say that we received 100% in the quality sections for each of the four Lots, as well as scoring very well on pricing.

This opens up our range of consultancy services and bespoke managed services to many more public sector organisations who we are excited to support on their technological journey. The sector faces numerous challenges when implementing emerging technologies, including the ever-present threat to data security and the incoming GDPR.

The newly launched Technology Services 2 (RM3804) framework is run by the Crown Commercial Service and simplifies the procurement process for local, regional and national public organisations. It allows them to compare and contrast the technology services offered by all accredited suppliers. It replaces aims to generate significant volumes of business – up to £3bn in comparison to the £200m value of its predecessor, Technology Services (RM1058).
