Transputec prides itself on its commitment to charitable causes and is a long-standing corporate partner for the HAVEN Charity.
Haven is a UK based charity that provides community services for the underprivileged people of Atla Village, in West Bengal. Their work is transforming lives, giving villagers access to vital medical and care services at their community centre as well as educational opportunities via their learning centre, which now includes a Transputec Academy.
Launched in January 2016, the Transputec Academy is an IT unit within the centre that has been kitted out with the latest IT equipment and software to provide interactive learning for over 80 students.
We have been partners with Haven for many years, supporting their Help a Village Emerge Anew project. In 2017, we worked with them to adopt a village and build a community support centre with medical, learning, and elderly day care facilities. Funds were raised via the Haven charity walk and we have been continuing with this challenge every year to raise much needed donations for this amazing charity.

This year our annual fundraising walk has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus. However, this was not going to stop our Reward and Recognition team! Although we could not all walk together, employees and colleagues across the business from South Africa, Spain, Philippines, and London were committed to walk individually, log their miles, and raise money to support Haven.
Like Haven, Transputec shares the vision of making lives better for those who have little or no opportunity and we take great pride in partnering with the Haven charity to continue to support their vital work.
